At the Mangorei School Pets Day children are invited to bring along smaller animals. Dogs can negotiate an obstacle course and lambs and calves are judged. There are traditional flower displays, vege creations and cake baking, minature scenes and soap carving. Senior classes run their own stalls and activities. Room 7 made and sold Toffee Apples this year and ran a Bowling Game on the cricket wicket. The Fun Races were held the following week as we ran out of time on Pets Day 2011.

ELECTION ROAD TRIP 2011
On 21 November TVNZ were up Mangorei Road on a Provincal Election Road trip. They interviewed Brenna's mum in the Cow Shed at milking and talked to some of our Mangorei students on the morning school bus
