Science Award Trust

As part of our Home learning options, students in our class and Room 8 are being offered the opportunity to work their way independently through the Science or Advanced Science Certificate scheme during term 2. A small number of students will be asked to focus on a more specialised Science Badge. We would ask that children and parents decide whether this is a programme that they would like to work through as part of Home Learning activities, by Monday 16 May so material can be ordered.

Science Certificates and Badges

As noted in our Term 2 Newsletter, all students in our class are registered to use Mathematics and Literacy activities on Study Ladder as part of their Home Learning. Each class member has been sent their individual Username and Password via their Superclubsplus email address.

Below is a "Letter to Parents" that explains a little more about Studyladder.

Dear Parents,

Studyladder : The educational website that includes both Mathematics and Literacy

This is a courtesy letter confirming that your child has been given an access code to log-in to the new “Study Ladder” Literacy and Numeracy website. All students now have home access to activities on StudyLadder.

It is NOT compulsory for your child to log into Study Ladder from home, but any additional access to this site will be beneficial if they enjoy doing the activities. Free home access allows each student 3 new activities each day. Using the site regularly helps build confidence and their bonus points.

:: Go to our class Blog Home page and select the link Studyladder link in the “Web Links to other useful sites” section ::

Sign with the class username and password given to your child. :: Access activities from your child’s overview page. :: The warm-up challenges are good interaction activities for parents and their children.

If for any reason you are unable to access using the class login, you can open a free home account for parents which allows the same home access to activities.

PHONETIC PUNCTUATION.....
As shown in class while discussing the structure of dialogue in writing, here is Victor Borge with his reading where punctuation makes its own sound like the words!!!
